Oakley and I made an adventure to St. Louis this past week for mom's birthday! Oakley had her first plane ride and was such a good girl. I had so much anxiety about the plane and airport.....but it all worked out and everything went smoothly. We had so much fun visiting friends and family. Oakley got her first Cardinals outfit so she can represent the STL this summer on game days. Thanks for a great trip Chi Chi!

Our first 5K

Kylee, Oakley and I all ran our first 5K together last weekend. My friend Ruth also ran with her B.O.B and baby Dustin. It was a little harder than I thought it would be with the jogger, but we managed as we were off raoding it for the first mile trying to get around all the slow runners (walkers) that were on the trail. It was a bumpy ride for Oakley, to say the least......but she slept through the whole thing (See below). I can now say I have done every kind of race, except a 10K....sign me up! How did I skip to 1/2 marathons and a marathon before ever running a 5K? That's my life I guess.....always doing the harder things first. Thanks for a fun time girls!!!!

Poor Oakers!! She always ends up with something over her eyes! Usually it's her bows. Such a trooper.



Oakley's Blessing

I was obsessed with her bracelet and her hair bow! She also wore the same dress that I was blessed in as a baby. It was an amazing day with lots of support from friends and family! Greg's sister and sister in law made a delicious "Cafe Rio" dinner after the blessing. Thank you Kylee and Holly!! What a great day!!

2 Months

Oakley just had her 2 month check up today. She was such a good girl when they gave her the shots. I love this kid!!

2 month stats
10 lbs 11 ounces - 40th percentile
22 in.  - 29th percentile
38 cm head circum - 27th percentile

She has gained what she weighed at birth in 2 months! Hahah she's a chunker!! She only
eats for like 5-10 minutes and throws half it up with her lame acid reflux so I was shocked she is gaining so fast! Doc says she's just a very efficient eater. I'm one proud momma!

Running

So I don't know if I would call it actually running these days or just jogging? Everyone keeps asking me if I am going stir crazy staying home as a mom. Are you kidding me???!! I have never been so busy in my life! This is a full time job and I commend all mothers, espeically those who have more than 1 and still manage to run, jog, workout, etc.... I have still managed to go to my addiction in life, Pump Class, because Greg knows he is "parenting" every Monday and Wednesday nights. Running or "jogging" on the other hand has been a little harder these days. Because Greg watches Oak on Monday's and Wednesday's, he gets Tuesday and Thursday to hit the gym. Yes..... I could go to the gym when he gets home but I HATE the treadmill and by that time of night I have no motivation left in me! Oh how I miss just hitting the road any time I want. Luckily the weather got above 40 degrees outside a few times last week and once this week where I was able to run outside with Oakley and the "B.OB", which by the way is amazing! And trust me...at this point I will run in any weather, but I think someone would call child protective services if they saw me with my stroller running in 20 degree weather with a newborn. But relying on the weather is getting to be a pain in the ars. For example...planned on centering my day around a run, but nope, woke up to more snow! I have never craved running so bad in my life as I am right now! Please....please mother nature give us some warm weather so I can be myself again.

Nelly + Oakley = B.F.F

Nelly has become so protective of Oakley. She always has to be lying right next to her. When Oakley is crying in her crib, Nelly runs in there and acts like she wants to help her or something. I can not wait until Oakley is a little bigger and can play with Nelly. I just know they will be best friends!
